Admin guide
Reference for server administrators managing ClaimsForge.
Admin commands
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/claim admin info |
View ownership and trust info for current chunk |
/claim admin unclaim |
Force-remove the claim on the current chunk (opens ConfirmGui) |
Safety net:
/claim admin unclaimroutes through the same ConfirmGui as the player-facing/unclaim— a green-wool confirm and a red-wool cancel. Staff get the same misclick protection as players.Note: All admin commands require
claimsforge.adminpermission.
Bypass permission
Staff with claimsforge.bypass can build, interact, and open containers in any claim regardless of trust:
/lp user AdminName permission set claimsforge.bypass true
Use this for:
- Helping players with locked chests
- Investigating grief reports
- Building on behalf of players
Managing claim limits
ClaimsForge uses permission nodes to control how many chunks a player can claim. The highest granted node wins.
# Set default (all players)
/lp group default permission set claimsforge.limit.5 true
# VIP tier
/lp group vip permission set claimsforge.limit.15 true
# Premium tier
/lp group premium permission set claimsforge.limit.30 true
# Give a specific player a custom limit
/lp user PlayerName permission set claimsforge.limit.50 true
Handling grief reports
- Teleport to the reported location
- Run
/claim admin infoto see who owns the chunk and who has trust - If the chunk is unclaimed normal wilderness grief, handle via rollback
- If the chunk is claimed check trust list for suspicious entries
- Run
/claim admin unclaimif the claim itself is the problem (e.g., grief claim blocking others)
Economy configuration
claims:
cost-per-claim: 100.0 # Set to 0 to make claiming free
Warning: Vault must be installed for economy costs to work. If Vault is absent and cost > 0, claiming will fail silently or fall back to free depending on the version.
Map integration setup
Dynmap
map:
dynmap-enabled: true
marker-color: "#3498db"
Claims appear as map markers on the Dynmap web interface. Players can hover to see the owner's name.
BlueMap
map:
bluemap-enabled: true
marker-color: "#e74c3c"
Claims appear as colored shape overlays on BlueMap.
Developer API
Other plugins can query claim data:
ChunkClaimApi api = Bukkit.getServicesManager()
.getRegistration(ChunkClaimApi.class).getProvider();
// Check if a chunk is claimed
boolean claimed = api.isClaimed(chunk);
// Get the owner's UUID
Optional<UUID> owner = api.getOwner(chunk);
// Check if a player can perform an action
boolean canBuild = api.canBuild(player, block);
boolean canInteract = api.canInteract(player, block);
boolean canContainer = api.canOpenContainer(player, block);
See the Developer API page for full documentation.
